One of my best friends and her partner got hit with a $1200+ electric bill, which was well over their usual under $200 bill. Everything in their house is electric -- heating, cooking, hot water.

She and her partner are both disabled and she isn't getting any sort of benefits for various reasons, so they're living off of her partner's disability. They live in a very rural area and are pretty much completely housebound since they have no family they can count on. There's no way they can really come up with the money to pay for this bill. They're fighting it, of course, but you know how power companies are -- you have to pay them and hope that they will reimburse you when the fuck-up is sorted out.

They've started a GoFundMe to try to raise the money they need.

With work going well, albeit slowly, on the Many Worlds I have a new goal for the Patreon. I'd like to be making $50 a month by the end of the year, as that will give me a tiny bit of extra time to be able to write more for me, as all of my time and energy has been going into ghosted work.

I've been editing the next part of Case of the Counterfeit Enchantments, so that should be going up at some point in this week. Along with this I've been going through some other stories, trying to get a bit more in depth with the world building, and it's been interesting. There are some things I've got no idea what was coming next, which will make it even more fun to write.

Should I reach $50 then I hope to be able to get back to doing semi-regular prompt calls. I'm probably going to start off by season, and slowly build up to more. If I get more than $50 it'll be even easier to put more time into writing.

There is also the Ko-fi if you'd like to help me out, but not pay a specific monthly amount.

Okay, so, I've been with my long term partner for 13 years now, and we're going through a really hard time of things at the moment. He has some mental health problems that are affecting both our lives, which we are working with professionals to try to get through (although, I have to admit, I'm not best pleased with those professional), and financially we're in a very complicated place right now. I'm a writer, mostly speculative fiction, and I have a website where I post up my work. This is all original fiction, in worlds I've created, so if you like what I write, and you'd like to see more I have a Patreon, and a ko-fi. Every penny really is going to help us keep our heads afloat right now, as we try to get through what is the most complicated point in our relationship.

**EDIT: Sadly we lost Hermen during prepping for surgery. I am now trying to raise funds to pay off his final bill.

I was already a bit down on my financial luck this month after a car repair pretty much drained out my savings, but now I really need some help.

My cat, Hermen, is going in for surgery tomorrow to remove a bladder stone that we have been trying to treat with a food based stone dissolution diet for the past 8 months. Unfortunately, that plan didn't work and he has to have the surgery. An expensive surgery that my household can't afford. So, I am asking for help. The good news is that there are several ways that you can help!

1. You can check out Hermen's fundraiser on YouCaring. Donations are greatly appreciated. I don't want him to suffer with this.

2. If you want to make a donation to Hermen's bills directly, I have a post with my vet's phone number. They are happily taking credit card payments over the phone to help Hermen. They vet techs really like him. :)

3. I am selling a bunch of random things. I also have a book/CD/DVD donation drive in the same post where you can name your donation amount, though you will have to pay shipping. Please have a look and see if you would be interested.

4. This one is absolutely free - please, please, please signal boost the heck out of any of the above. Our cat really needs the care and while the vet does payment plans, they only do them for 90 days out. Unfortunately with the enormity of the surgery bill, we won't be able to pay in full by the end of 90 days. I don't want to compromise our good standing with our vet since I want Hermen to continue to receive good care.

Any monies raised above and beyond Hermen's needs will be put into a vet fund to help another family in dire financial need with their vet bills.

Long story very short, my mom and siblings need to be out of their current place by the end of July. She and my stepdad can't get a mortgage because he currently works in Hawaii, but they want to buy in (ideally!) Washington (state, not DC ;) ); my stepdad is applying to jobs in WA, but as y'all know, job hunting is often NOT a fast process.

So, since July is fast approaching (and that IS a hard and fast deadline, sadly), they're trying to raise enough that my mom and sibs can afford somewhere to stay in the interim, and ideally get driving lessons for her (she hasn't driven in over a decade!), my siblings who are old enough, and job retraining for her, since she's been a stay-at-home mom for many, many years. (And believe me, we appreciate it, but now it's a bit disadvantageous for her!)

My mom & sibs would also love to be able to keep their cats; barring that, to rehome them in good places that can afford to take care of them properly!

We had an excessive amount of unpaid leave and half-days at Christmastime (the last and forthcoming paycheque are very small) and we've been bombarded with several bills at once. Things will probably stabilise near the end of the month, but right now it's very stressful.

So... we'd like to use our skills to help you by creating ebook covers, promotional banners for small businesses and crowdfunded services, personal or professional websites - and icons, banners and other designs to make your personal blog or journal a bit prettier~

-I am entangled in a family dispute involving the care of my father, who is ill with a non-alzheimer's form of dementia. (Lewy body, with parkinsonism, for the medically inclined)

-I have been a massage therapist for nearly 7 years, with no ethical (or other) complaints filed until now. This complaint was filed by one of my family members, someone who has rarely bothered to see or interact with me in the last decade, and has certainly never been a client.

-Part of the 'evidence' against me is an advertisement I had long since forgotten placing on a poly-friendly professionals site. The claim is being made that poly = swingers = group sex = my morals are clearly in question because I work with these people, and I must be offering sexual services. (The implications are also being made about my statement of being alphabet-soup and kink friendly, but slightly less overtly. Heaven only knows what would have been claimed if said family member was aware of how many not-straight, transgender, and otherwise non-normative clients I see/have seen.)

Any assistance at all is highly appreciated. Donations, signal boosts, ANYTHING that helps her keep her professional credentials. There are several lives at risk due to this, from human to four-legged, as I don't think any human I know has a bigger heart for the unfortunate four-legs in this town. Mischa came to us via her, for instance.

I'm a chronically ill, disabled almost-30 year-old who just found out I have three-and-a-half months to find a new home in Munich (bad). The new flat needs to be wheelchair-friendly, meet strict guidelines to be paid by the local state, and relatively renovated (almost impossible). I found such a flat (miracle!). In order to move in, I need 3600€ for fixtures and fittings to pay the owner by the end of this month (holycrapnoway).

My husband

gridlore had a stroke last July. We've been desperately trying to pare back our budget to the point where we can manage on our own, all while paying off the last of the outstanding bills from his hospitalization and rehab. And we're close...but not quite close enough.

We have four $300(ish) payments left on his truck before we own it free and clear, and having that money available will make staying on top of the bills MUCH easier. But at the moment, we're in the hole, and it's another week and a half before I get my next paycheck.

In the interest of not asking for something for nothing, I make scarves; anyone who is willing to send me $20 can give me color preferences in a message, and I'll see what I have that I can offer you. (The ones in the picture are all gone; I have some of the same colors available.)
