A dear friend of mine is trying to raise money for a down payment on the house that her family lives in or money to move.

They've been hit a lot in the past couple years and this is pretty much the worst time for this to happen to them. Their mother has lung scarring due to sarcoidisis, they and their mother are both physically disabled, her brother is autistic, and they all deal with mental illnesses.

If you can't donate, please signal boost. Thank you so much.

My job situation is Not. My housing situation, as of Tue Oct 30, is Not. I have a place to go, but I estimate I need about $300 by Monday in order to rent a Uhaul on Tuesday and drive myself, my cat, and our crap the several hours it takes to get there (plus pay the storage unit for November, plus get fast food en route, plus a couple other small expenses and some buffer). Please Paypal.me some help.

Thank you.

I am selling short fiction to the buyer's prompt. Approximately four cents a word, which means if you give me $15, I'll shoot for 375 words. But you might get 400. :)

[personal profile] dialecticdreamer is generously matching the words, so that if you give me $15 and give us each a prompt, you get two stories of about 375 words each!

Further details at both links. This is a fundraiser for moving expenses—and my July student loan payment, because I don't have that cash on hand anymore, having paid the security deposit with it.

Thank you for reading.

Long story very short, my mom and siblings need to be out of their current place by the end of July. She and my stepdad can't get a mortgage because he currently works in Hawaii, but they want to buy in (ideally!) Washington (state, not DC ;) ); my stepdad is applying to jobs in WA, but as y'all know, job hunting is often NOT a fast process.

So, since July is fast approaching (and that IS a hard and fast deadline, sadly), they're trying to raise enough that my mom and sibs can afford somewhere to stay in the interim, and ideally get driving lessons for her (she hasn't driven in over a decade!), my siblings who are old enough, and job retraining for her, since she's been a stay-at-home mom for many, many years. (And believe me, we appreciate it, but now it's a bit disadvantageous for her!)

My mom & sibs would also love to be able to keep their cats; barring that, to rehome them in good places that can afford to take care of them properly!

Here's the link: https://gogetfunding.com/buy-a-house-driver-training-and-job-training-oh-my/

They're asking for US$10,000 which, judiciously used, should get them somewhere for (hopefully!) long enough. I know it's a lot, but even if you only have US$1 to spare - or if you can't afford even that (we know very well money is tight for many) please, please signal boost - they, and I, would be so very, very grateful!

(Stretch goals: $$ for me to come visit them at some point, and/or for sibs (and me??) to visit our new stepfamily in Hawaii.

(Insane stretch goal: enough to buy a house. Probably won't happen, but it's really nice to imagine! ;D)

Cross posted to my tumblr here, please boost there too if so inclined.

(I hope I have this tagged correctly!)

My friend's sister/my friend Alice just lost her job unexpectedly, and she could use a little help to get a new place: https://www.gofundme.com/7eqtfg2s

Just today, my sister Alice was abruptly laid off from her job with no warning, leaving her with no income, no insurance, and an apartment she can't pay rent on without that last paycheck.

Plus, without that job, she's rushing to find someplace that she can not only afford, but can also find a new job from.

Please help Alice out if you can!

I'm a chronically ill, disabled almost-30 year-old who just found out I have three-and-a-half months to find a new home in Munich (bad). The new flat needs to be wheelchair-friendly, meet strict guidelines to be paid by the local state, and relatively renovated (almost impossible). I found such a flat (miracle!). In order to move in, I need 3600€ for fixtures and fittings to pay the owner by the end of this month (holycrapnoway).

CAN YOU HELP ME?

My GoFundMe Page is here. Details, including direct payment options, are at my journal. Please boost the signal, whether you can help financially or not! THANK YOU!

[personal profile] sharpeningthebones is asking for help to get their car repaired. Them and their housemates are looking to get out of a really shitty living situation (like, their house is quite literally falling apart - one of the rooms doesn't have a roof, and only two of the rooms are actually livable) and they need their car to get all their stuff moved. One of their housemates, [personal profile] thelinesoflearning, is also offering tarot readings, writing, editing, audio recording, graphic making, and filking to raise money for this. Please consider helping if you have money to spare.

Hi everyone! My future wife and I have been in a ldr for four years now and she's a really good person and we love each other a lot and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. She's a software developer, but she was laid off a few years back and since then we've been working on building a website together that is finally almost done and ready to launch in a month or two which will be great because we'll start having an income again. We've got some opportunities for start up funds that'll be coming through possibly as soon as January or February, so if we can get to that point, we'll be okay.

But she was just a little bit late for rent recently and despite having been a tennant there for 13 years and always being on time before, they sent her an eviction notice. If she can't pay up, she'll be evicted a week before Christmas, and then we'll both end up homeless, far away from each other.

She's set up a gofundme thing, and I'm boosting the signal to try to keep this from happening. She is willing to either pay you back with interest or give you credit towards a paid account on our site once it's launched, whichever you prefer. She gives more information at the link about how she got to where she is right now, which you should read to make your own decision about whether to help. She is a survivor of a transmisogynistic hate crime, which she mentions in the post without going into graphic detail and it's trigger warned but I just wanted to give you a heads up if that will be triggery for you maybe skip that part. It's about halfway down the page or so. The PTSD stemming from that incident is a large factor in the bind she's in right now.

Anyway, please help if you can, either by donating or signal boosting. We'd really appreciate it. http://www.gofundme.com/5m36ps
