She's a software developer, but she was laid off a few years back and since then we've been working on building a website together that is finally almost done and ready to launch in a month or two which will be great because we'll start having an income again. But she was just a little bit late for rent recently and despite having been a tennant there for 13 years and always being on time before, they sent her an eviction notice. If she can't pay up, she'll be evicted a week before Christmas, and then we'll both end up homeless, far away from each other.
She's set up a gofundme thing, and I'm boosting the signal to try to keep this from happening.
