Hi, new to the community

My boyfriend is currently having some medical issues. We live in the UK, so we're not looking at really high medical bills, but he has been off work for a month now. Although we're slowly getting somewhere with working out what the problem is (he has a referral to a specialist, but due to some miscommunication somewhere he had to chase it up as he wasn't down as urgent even though the doctor said he was) we have no idea what it is or how long this whole thing is going to take. Sick pay won't cover our rent, then we still have groceries to buy and car expenses. Luckily we're renting a room, as we didn't have references when we had no choice but to find somewhere new to live last year, so we aren't looking at any other bills.

I'm a crowdfunded author and at the moment I'm not making enough to be able to help, so I'm hoping that boosting here will help. Our rent is paid on the 10th, and I'd like to surprise him with some of the money to go towards it. My aim is £100, although I'd love to get more than that, and if you check out my website you can see what I offer in return. I also have a brochure, to make things easier.
