Mobile memorial update
An update to this post!
I ran the 5k today: despite the fact that my teammate has a longterm serious illness, we did amazingly. We did 5k in thirty-eight minutes, running for thirty-four minutes of that. Last year we started with the walkers: this time we moved up a section to start with the joggers, which was awesome. We raised £255, plus £25 giftaid, just between the two of us. So far.
I felt amazingly honoured to be wearing my t-shirt with all the names people contributed for me to write onto it. It pushed me and my teammate to do better both at fundraising and at running. It meant a lot to both of us, and especially to me. I felt like I was representing so much more than myself.
I promised photos of the finished t-shirt, and here are thumbnail links to full pictures of the front and back; two close-ups from the front and back; a photo of us getting ready to head to the race, and a photo of me wearing my medal.

Thank you everyone, for your support.

Glad somebody thought of Henrietta Lacks. I should've.
